Why should bread never be served at the table?

Because it makes crumbs... I'm obviously kidding!
We serve bread of course, but we remove it after the cheese and above all we get rid of the tiny relics...
Hahah sacred Duchess, it was the first of April the jokes... But how and when?
Just before bringing the dessert, we clear the table and pass a crumb collector.
There are all sorts of them, and if you're missing one, you can elegantly fold a napkin and push the crumbs from each onto a clean plate that you hold in your other hand. It will always be better than leaving your guests in the mess of the feast...
