Nature: We wanted to give this centuries-old confectionery a new identity and a new taste color.
Thanks to the chestnut summer honey typical of central Brittany, combined with roasted hazelnuts and almonds in our workshop, our nougat is recognizable from the first bite.
Pistachio: On the same basis as plain Nougat, our Pistachio Nougat is a nod (mischievous and teasing to the Ogres) to the famous Montélimar.
The sweet/salty notes of this dried fruit goes perfectly with the strong character of our honey. A gourmet pose associated with a tea or herbal tea for a moment of
pure pleasure.
Caramel: Salted butter caramel is an institution in Brittany! Everyone has their own way of making it, which makes it particularly fun as a vehicle for sharing and debate in the kitchen.
It was obvious that we had to combine it with our Nougat! To do this, we have chosen to work with a salted raw milk butter from the Fromagerie d'Eugénie in Languidic, located a few kilometers from our workshop.
Their butter is particularly fragrant and gives our caramel that round and sweet taste quality that we were looking for.

Trouver un nougat différent, pas trop sucré, qui soit sympa et avec des goûts de tous les côtés…voilà pourquoi j’ai choisi le bonheur des ogres.
Ce que j’aime chez les artisans qui se donnent de la peine, c’est cette envie partagée de prendre un produit classique pour lequel on a l’impression d’avoir déjà été au bout et d’en faire quelque chose de différent.
Le nougat des ogres est ainsi, il est différent, parfois surprenant et j'aime le déguster le soir, pour une petite touche sucrée après dîner.
Il faut se laisser surprendre par les saveurs inattendues comme celui à l’orge torréfié ou celui à la pistache…
